How we grow our garden.By Full Circle Foods - April 10, 2019 We are introducing a new program called Veggie Tuesdays that features fresh produce from our own garden. Our restaurant highlights ingredients from our very own garden and we want to share it with our community. For a donation of $25 community members can fill up a large bucket of veggies on every Tuesday. Growing our garden is a labor of love, but we don't mind. As a zero waste restaurant, we utilize our food scraps by turning them into compost. The compost is then used in our nutrient rich soil to grow our veggies and herbs. Community volunteers help manage our garden along with restaurant staff. Volunteers not only help the plants grow, but they can learn about planting and sustaining a garden. We prioritize environmental sustainability. We collect rain water to help irrigate the garden as a way to reduce water consumption. By reducing our water usage, we can also save money on our monthly water bill and use that to invest in our garden. Our garden is a community project and we want the community to utilize it in a variety of ways. By joining our Veggie Tuesdays, the community can learn about gardening as well as healthy eating. See you there!
